So, I can put rooms on far right that'll be skipped with weaker dwellers.like medical / scientific types. Handy's so, you don't have them wasting time on a non-production type room for that floor. Keeping production rooms all on same floor makes most efficient use of Mr. Enemy skip the far right room every other floor. Now you maybe wondering why I skip a floor level between production rooms. Then Food 3 wide center and water 3 wide far right.every OTHER floor level. Plus, since you can't max it's size for output and you always need more power than food / water, each floor level gets a 2 room wide power room on far left. So, with it in far left, I can move camera out past it enough to see whole room for mystery guy. And, I don't like the 2 room wide in center because of how it limits whichever rooms you put there. If you have it on far right, you can't get the camera over far enough to view it properly for finding Mystery guy. The reason I do this is so I can get the best camera angle view into the smaller 2 room wide section. Instead of having a 3 room wide on far left and 2 room wide in middle with 3 room wide on far right, I delete one of the elevators going down and make it 2 room wide on far left, elevator down, 3 room wide center, elevator down, 3 room wide far right.

But, here's where I change things up a bit. 3rd level is where production rooms start. Outfit shop won't get hit by enemy.they skip that one so, I can have oddball dweller(s) in there making outfits without worrying about their safety. Exception will be my quest runners (also with high endurance / level) when they're not on a quest, hanging out in top right storage and 2nd floor middle storage. This'll be the first room attacked by enemy entering vault. I do this because I'll keep my special dwellers with high endurance / level in weapon crafting. So, it'll be Weapon crafting on far left, elevator, another storage rooms (2 room wide) then elevator down, and outfit crafting far right. So, it'll be vault door, elevator down, overseers office, elevator down, storage rooms-3 room wide. I usually put my overseer's office right after the vault door entrance.
